These photographs were taken between December 2016 and January 2017 with a Nikon D90 using a NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8 lens.
An awakening, lush and green, spiritual, nurturing, rich with femininity. Photographs in this series were inspired by a new friendship which brought these qualities to my life and work. Herbaceous plants are soft and green, grow quickly, and produce flowers with many seeds—the perfect plant to illustrate this new and accelerated friendship and community life.
I craved a simpler colour palette and subject matter. I photographed these images in my home using natural light.
